Associate Story Producer
Lizard Trading Co.
During the second season of Animal Planet's "Whale Wars", I worked as part of a team to support each episode's story arc. Job included searching for footage and building stringouts in Cinegy and Avid Media Composer, presenting editors with shot options, and making creative scene decisions. I was also responsible for seamless production of segments used for seamlessly integrated international snap-ins and exclusive web/dvd content.
2008
Associate Story Producer, Post Production Coordinator
A. Smith & Co. Productions
Associate Story Producer: Worked in the field on two episodes of "Trading Spaces", arranging interviews to support the story of each episode. Strung-out several scenes in post-production for three "Trading Spaces" episodes using Avid Media Composer and Pilotware.
Post Coordinator: Managed loggers, editors, AEs, tape libraries and equipment during the post production phases of season 8 of "Trading Spaces" for TLC and the first season of "Unsung" for TVOne.
2007
Music Coordinator
American Idol Productions
Prepared music cue-sheets for the sixth season of "American Idol".
2006
Segment Producer, Office Production Assistant, Key Field PA
Shooters Post & Transfer (Philadelphia, PA)
For several days before and after the production of a new pilot for the Food Network, I worked at the Philadelphia office of Shooters Post & Transfer, preparing for most aspects of pre and post production. At the shoot, I was the key Production Assistant and produced a segment essential for setting the atmosphere of the show.
Production Assistant
Banyan Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Acted as liaison between location staff and production team for a TLC special, "A Day of Weddings". Another responsibility includes shooting digital video of couples attending a specific wedding at Winterthur, near Wilmington, Delaware.
Talent Wrangler
Local Woman Films (New York, NY)
Assisted three celebrity judges during the taping of the finale event for Nick @ Nite’s “Search for the Funniest Mom in America 2”. The judges included Alfonso Ribeiro, Carol Leifer and Mario Cantone. I was called last minute to come to New York and perform this task, but it was well worth it. I was trusted with very important aspects of the show's finale. In addition to talent wrangling, I acted as a stand-in for camera and audio tests.
Production Assistant - Office, Art Department
Local Woman Films (New York, NY)
During the second season of Nick at Nite's "Search for the Funniest Mom in America", I spent most of my time assisting the set designers by painting, creating wall art, organizing and finding props. Having lived and worked primarily in Philadelphia for the past several years, this was also a great way for me to become reacquainted with Manhattan in a work atmosphere.
Production Assistant / Kitchen Utility
Banyan Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Assisted the kitchen staff during the taping of the eighth season of "Epicurious", a popular cooking series on the Travel Channel. It was of utmost importance for all of the art department's props to look perfect before each take, thereby making it my responsibility to work quickly and precisely. Although my position was not glamorous, working on "Epicurious" gave me excellent experience working in a studio and under a great deal of pressure.
2005
Production Assistant
Painless Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Assisted on the outdoor-set of the Military Channel’s live pre-game coverage of the 2005 Army-Navy football game. My main responsibility was to assist the Executive Producer during the high-pressure live broadcast, though many other tasks were to be executed both before and after the game. Such duties included traffic control and clean-up, all of which required a great deal of team unity.
Head Production Assistant - Casting
Bunim/Murray Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Coordinated promotional advertising with local radio show producers. Aided professional casting agents during the Philadelphia casting session and callbacks for the daytime reality series, “Starting Over” for its third season. Being the only assistant during the callback stage of casting, I was responsible for greeting the candidates and escorting them to meet with each casting agent.
Cue Cards / Talent Liason
Plus Media (New York, NY)
Organized and displayed various important information for the interview talent for satellite tours of morning news shows. Responsibilities included displaying the names and cities for each morning show, as well as the estimated interview time. Also, displaying cue cards was of extreme importance, for the talent was never an actor and not used to memorizing lines.
Production Assistant
MTV/VH1 (Philadelphia, PA)
Spent two days preparing and initiating the live broadcast of “Live 8”. Duties included: craft service, transportation for talent and executives, and paperwork/log runs between edit suites.
Production Assistant
Banyan Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Aided the crew and talent on several episodes of the popular daytime television show, "Perfect Proposal". One episode in particular was quite different, for it involved the host and producers to decide on television which man out of an entire group, would get the chance to propose within the next 24 hours. This is unlike all other episodes, for they usually required months of planning before the actual proposal.
2004-2005
Intern
Banyan Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Assisted producers, transcribed recently shot tapes, and chose music for the second season of Perfect Proposal on TLC. This was probably the greatest experience I have ever had, because every day was different. I never had to get the producers coffee. Rather, I was asked to do a great amount of research, transcribing and logging. I was often asked by producers to come up with ideas for voice over narration and specific episode details. I've been asked to find everything from a belly dancing instructor in Maryland to a crop-circle maker in Massachusetts.
2004
Assistant Tape Librarian
Lock & Key Productions (New York, NY)
Entered specific information regarding newly shot tapes into a secured online system as well as sending the shot tapes to the Los Angeles office for a new reality show featuring Kathy Hilton. Organization of tapes was also a huge responsibility.
Freelance Videographer
Banyan Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Requested for the production of
a short video segment for anepisode of the popular FOX television show, "Ambush Makeover".
Casting Assistant
Bunim/Murray Productions (Philadelphia, PA)
Aided professional casting agents during the Philadelphia casting session for the FOX series "Rebel Billionaire: Branson’s Quest for the Best". Other duties include street promotion and promotional advertising with local radio show producers and personalities.
