Bar Captain / OBO Representative

During February 2007's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I was responsible for overseeing the bar in the lobby of the main tent, which was run by Lotus Bar . In addition, propor relations must have been kept between the bar and its sponsors, so I spent a good deal of time checking in on the needs of everybody in and around the bar.

During two nights before Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I was responsible for representing the company overnight while various work was done to prepare the lobby for the sponsors and guests.

2006

Operations Department Substitute
Shooters, Post & Transfer (Philadelphia, PA)

When needed, I was hired by Shooters Post & Transfer to fill in for their operations department, where I was responsible for shipping copied media to clients via FedEx and courier services.

Along with a talented team, I call previous patrons of the Philadelphia Orchestra and offer them ticket subscriptions.

Lohse Studio of Music (Philadelphia, PA)

Designed and initiated all steps in creating www.LohseStudioMusic.com, a website advertising a local music lesson studio.

HopStop.com (Philadelphia, PA)

Aided in gathering important information regarding Philadelphia-area subway information for HopStop.com, a website providing point-to-point subway directions for several cities.  In addition, my services were used to beta-test the website in order to find errors and suggest improvements.

Element Designer
Ta-Da, Inc. (New York, NY)

Ta-Da, Inc., creators of the popular website, ShelSilverstein.com, were asked to create the website for the popular magician, performer and stunt artist; David Blaine's website, DavidBlaine.com.  I was asked to spend countless hours using Photoshop in order to make small elements for the sites (primarily for David Blaine, though light work for Silverstein's site was performed), prepare the image gallery and find elements for the backgrounds.

BriteVision Media (Philadelphia, PA)

BriteVision Media is a San Francisco-based advertising agency that specializes in advertisements via java jackets / coffee cup sleeves.  As their field representative from Philadelphia, my main responsibility is to visit every cafe or grocery store each month to make sure that they are using the correct sleeves for each campaign.  I am also required to retrieve photographic proof that the patrons that fall under specific demographics for each campaign are using the sleeves.

Although this is technically a retail position, working at the Ritz has heightened my awareness of independent and mainstream films and the types of people that go to see them.  This position also gave me the chance to see films that I may not have seen otherwise, which has widened my horizons in the ways of movie-going.

I started out as a two-day temp at Registrar & Transfer, a stock transferring firm in Cranford, NJ.  After excelling at my given tasks, I was asked to stay until I had to leave for college in a different department.  My responsibilities ranged from filing and organizing to data entry and making phone calls to clients.
